I love all banjo music-new and old, I play fingerpickin and clawhammer styles. I don't think it's natural to feel confined to one style. Music has so much to do with awareness, perception and life that we really can't be worried about analyzing notes or genres. Just play what is coming from our hearts and spirits.  There are so many people making beautiful music that there is no way to categorize it-or else you run the risk of creating a great big gray area, or something that people can't relate to. And that is the soul of banjo music, relating to people, playing the music of human history.
