The Hilary Hawke Band

The Hilary Hawke band is a trio with fiddler Camille Howes, banjoist Hilary Hawke, and guitarist Ross Martin. With a focus on improvisation and original songs the band got together in the Fall of 2022 for their love of bluegrass and old-time music and immediately knew they needed to perform together.  The group has a synchronicity and dynamism that is undeniably addictive and have been garnering attention for their arrangements, entertaining live shows and virtuosity.  

The group is an inspiring musical combo who are also experienced in outreach and teaching for audiences of all ages.

    Hilary Hawke

    Hilary takes the lead in songwriting and singing but the microphone is passed around during a set and all band members trade-off singing harmonies.

  • Ross Martin, guitarist in the Hilary Hawke Band

    Ross Martin

    Ross is a well established guitarist in the bluegrass scene and also plays with the Jacob Jolliff band. You may have also seen him subbing in Broadway shows such as Girl From the North Country, and Hadestown.

  • Camille Howes, violinist in the Hilary Hawke Band

    Camille is a violinist who specializes in jazz and fiddle styles and plays in Quartet Davis as well as teaching jazz improvisation workshops.
